IMG_5496HIGH POINT, N.C., Dec. 9, 2013 – More than 300 people ushered in the holiday season with High Point University’s annual Lessons and Carols Candlelight service on Dec. 4 in the Hayworth Chapel.

The special service, based on the traditional Festival of Lessons and Carols at King’s College in Cambridge, England, featured members of the university community, including members of the HPU music department, the Chapel Choir and the Flute Ensemble. The Board of Stewards, Alpha Delta Theta sorority and Alpha Phi Omega fraternity served as ushers and greeters.

After the candlelight service, attendees walked directly outside the chapel for the lighting of the Hayworth Chapel Christmas Tree.
