HPU Hires New University Registrar


HIGH POINT, N.C., March 28, 2014 – The Office of Academic Affairs at High Point University recently hired Danny Brooks as university registrar.

Brooks is responsible for managing the overall operations in the Office of the University Registrar, including interpreting and clarifying academic policies and procedures for students and faculty. Brooks is also responsible for degree audit, student academic honors and NCAA athletic eligibility.

With 24 years of experience in higher education, as well as expertise in information systems and operation management, Brooks is looking forward to using his skills at HPU.

“High Point University is a phenomenal school with some of the most creative and innovative faculty members and students anywhere,” Brooks says. “I believe in the HPU philosophy and am excited about building mutually satisfying relationships. I look forward to what the future holds regarding new and exciting technology that will enhance our student experience on campus.”

Brooks has been awarded several awards including Who’s Who in American Education. He has received two bachelor’s degrees from the University of North Alabama, as well as a master’s degree in public and private management from Birmingham-Southern College. Brooks has also completed the management development program in the Graduate School of Education at Harvard University.
