05.14.2014

HIGH POINT, N.C., May 14, 2014 – High Point University will lower its flags to half-staff Thursday in honor of Peace Officers Memorial Day and Police Week.

President Barack Obama issued a proclamation recognizing May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week of May 11 through 17 as Police Week. During this time, HPU joins in honoring the courageous officers who devote themselves to keeping neighborhoods and communities safe, especially those who have laid down their lives.

The flags will be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset.
