Class of 2014 Outcomes: McKenna Adams Selected for Professional Development


With a successful 2014 Commencement Ceremony behind us, recent High Point University graduates are preparing to commence prestigious career paths around the world at Fortune 500 companies, international service programs, public school systems, top-tier law, medical and graduate school programs, and many other esteemed organizations thanks to their journey at HPU. Here’s a glimpse of one extraordinary senior from the Class of 2014:

Name: McKenna Adams

Major: Adams graduated with a B.S. in International Business, with a minor in Mandarin Chinese, on May 3.

Post-graduation plans: Adams accepted a position in the Supply Chain Professional Development Program (PDP) with Northrop Grumman Corporation, a global defense contractor. The PDP is a rotational assignment program for recent college graduates interested in engineering and manufacturing, business management, and supply chain management. It’s a highly competitive program in which high academics, prior internship experiences and a well-rounded education are keys to success.

How HPU helped you get there: “HPU has great teachers who care and will go out of their way to help me reach my career goals. Also, the curriculum has prepared me with an extraordinary education!”

Most impactful professor at HPU: “Dr. Swafford and Judy Danley were my most influential professors.”

Most impactful moment at HPU: “During one of the High Point Furniture Markets, I was hired by Bernhardt Furniture to work within their export department to improve communication with their Chinese accounts.”
