HIGH POINT, N.C., July 30, 2014 – High Point University recently hired Pamela Francisco as a success coach in its Freshman Success Program.

As a freshman success coach, Francisco is responsible for advising first-year students who are interested in majoring in business. She will assist them in their transition from high school to college, supporting their academic success and their pursuit of personal success.

“I will encourage students to make the most of their college experience by discovering their passion and purpose here at High Point University,” says Francisco. “I hope to impact HPU students by providing support and resources that will enable them to be academically and socially successful.”

After working for 17 years in the public school system, both as a teacher and principal, Francisco is looking forward to a career in higher education with HPU.

“I feel very privileged to be joining the High Point University family,” Francisco says. “I am beyond excited to be working in the Freshman Success Program.”

Francisco received her Bachelor of Science in special education from Greensboro College. She also has a Master of Education in school administration and curriculum and instruction from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
