HIGH POINT, N.C., July 9, 2014 – High Point University recently hired Spencer Forney to work in the Office of Information Technology as a computing support analyst.

Forney is part of the team that manages, maintains, repairs and replaces the computer hardware and software on campus. He also provides assistance with computer-related issues that may arise for students, faculty and staff.

As an HPU alumnus, Forney understands the importance of the IT department on campus.

“Technology is integral to the university’s goal of providing the best learning environment possible,” Forney says. “I’m proud to be a part of the team responsible for making sure that technology functions and implementing new technologies to further improve the students’ academic experiences.”

Forney is looking forward to beginning his job at his alma mater.

“As a recent graduate from HPU that worked as a student in the IT department for the last three years, I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to continue working in a more permanent and sustainable manner with the team that I’ve grown to know and with the university environment that I’ve been immersed in for the last few years,” says Forney.

Forney received his Bachelor of Arts in computer science and video game development from High Point University.
