HIGH POINT, N.C., July 29, 2014 – High Point University recently welcomed Hannah McLendon as a content specialist in the Office of Communications.

McLendon shares the stories and successes of HPU students, faculty and staff through multiple platforms, including the HPU website, magazine, blogs and more.

“Most of the press releases and stories I produce directly promote the work of our students, whether highlighting their awards, academics, philanthropy efforts or extracurricular accomplishments,” McLendon says. “The university is proud of its students and wants to share their story as they pursue their professional endeavors.”

Before joining HPU, McLendon worked in computer support through the state university system for three years, and interned with multiple art galleries and museums throughout North Carolina during college.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to join the team at HPU,” she says. “This university truly does cultivate an environment for success for all of its students, faculty and staff. I look forward to positively representing HPU and contributing fresh content to our publications.”

McLendon, who is a Mount Holly, N.C. native, graduated from Appalachian State University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Art Management and a minor in General Business. She graduated summa cum laude with both university and departmental honors.
