HIGH POINT, N.C., July 16, 2014 – High Point University’s Office of Institutional Advancement recently hired John Turner as Assistant Director of Young Alumni and Parent Support.

Turner fosters alumni relationships by managing Society 833, the young alumni giving recognition group, and overseeing the Young Alumni Council. He is responsible for increasing young alumni engagement and participation, collaborating to engage parents of HPU graduates and more.

“I’ll be working with students on campus to foster a significant understanding of the importance of philanthropy and how their gifts will have an everlasting impact on their HPU experience,” Turner says.

Turner is excited to begin his new job, and believes in the mission of HPU.

“My transition to HPU was flawless and I immediately felt welcomed as a member of the family—not just as a new employee,” says Turner. “I’m very excited to serve this active and caring HPU family. This is an incredibly special place, one that’s dedicated to providing students and alumni the best opportunities to grow and succeed.”
