HIGH POINT, N.C., Aug. 15, 2014 – High Point University’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions recently hired Haverly Erskine as a senior admissions counselor.
Erskine will aid students from New York in their admissions process at HPU.

“My goal is to provide students with the personalized approach to the college search that they deserve through what can be a very overwhelming process,” says Erskine. “I will work with them throughout the college search process and maintain a relationship with them after they graduate from HPU.”

Erskine has several years of experience with higher education, special event planning, team management and strategic planning. She also co-founded and co-chairs a non-profit, Dreams from Drake, which provides services to children and teens who have lost a sibling or parent. Erskine credits the nonprofit with teaching her skills such as fundraising, development and marketing

Erskine is looking forward to taking her drive for success and incorporating it into her career at HPU.

“High Point University represents what institutions of higher education should aspire to be,” Erskine says. “It is an honor to be a part of a school that has undergone such unprecedented growth with class, detailed-perfection and a complete focus on the students’ needs.”

Erskine received her Bachelor of Science in public relations from Syracuse University and a Master of Science in educational leadership from the University of Rochester.
