HIGH POINT, N.C., Aug. 1, 2014 – High Point University’s Kappa Sigma chapter was recently awarded the Silver Bowl for Academic Excellence at the fraternity’s national Leadership Conference in New Orleans.

The award recognizes HPU’s chapter as one of the fraternity’s elite academic chapters in the country.

“It’s an honor to be recognized for our hard work in the classroom, not only on campus, but on a national level,” says chapter president and rising HPU senior John Marsicano. “We take academics very seriously, and we look forward to continued success for the upcoming year.”

Kappa Sigma also earned High Point University’s “Fraternity of the Year” and “Highest GPA” awards for 2013.
