HIGH POINT, N.C., Sept. 15, 2014 – Support from alumni, parents, donors and advocates continues to grow for High Point University as the amount of gifts and pledges climbed to $35.1 million in fiscal 2013-14 without a formal campaign.
These proceeds will be invested in scholarships, academic programs and facilities such as the Center for Student Success, as well as athletic and student life facilities.
“Our supporters believe in our mission of preparing students for the world as it’s going to be,” says Dr. Nido Qubein, HPU president. “We are grateful for their wisdom, their contributions and their continued advocacy as more families visit and support the university.”
The Center for Student Success is one example that reflects increased support. The $16 million facility, currently under construction on campus, is entirely funded by parents.
Over the last few years, HPU has raised more than $225 million in contributions from friends and parents and invested more than a billion dollars in the transformation of the institution.
