Dr. Tjai Nielsen Featured on Fox 8 News

HIGH POINT, N.C., Nov. 5, 2014 – Dr. Tjai Nielsen, associate professor of management and director of the MBA program at High Point University, was recently featured on WGHP Fox 8 for a news segment on the Ebola crisis.

During the segment, Nielsen spoke about the psychological ramifications of the current Ebola crisis. He focused on addressing the public’s confusion, anxiety and fear as critical to managing the situation successfully.

“Outside of West Africa, the frontlines of the current Ebola crisis are psychological not medical,” says Nielsen. “The physical issues related to Ebola are significant, but the larger challenge centers on reducing the public’s confusion and anxiety.”

Nielsen also appeared on Fox 8 Morning News several times earlier this year to talk about increasing productivity, eliminating bad habits and other issues related to behavior change.

“Julie Grant, Phil Johnson and the other anchors at Fox are true professionals and a pleasure to work with. I look forward to joining them again,” Nielsen adds.

HPU faculty in the Phillips School of Business are frequently featured in media outlets as experts on topics such as leadership, executive development, accounting, entrepreneurship, finance, commerce and marketing.
