Student Interns for Fashion Designer in New York City

HIGH POINT, N.C., Aug. 21, 2015 – High Point University rising junior Kimberly Kloss is learning from one of the most prominent fashion designers, Diane von Furstenberg, at her internship.

Kloss, a New York, New York native, is spending her summer in New York City as a marketing communications intern at Diane von Furstenberg Studio Headquarters.

Her responsibilities include assisting and blogging for the brand communications team, attending store openings, assisting Furstenberg and planning for the upcoming New York Fashion Week.

“Through Diane’s work, she helps promote empowerment and independence to young women today, delivering the importance of confidence,” says Kloss. “My favorite quote by Diane is ‘glamour is shine and confidence.’”

With a major in communication and a minor in marketing, Kloss plans to work for a brand such as Diane von Furstenberg as a part of the brand communications team following graduation.

“I have loved gaining real-world experience from this internship, and I am blessed to be learning from a legendary fashion icon,” says Kloss.
