Choirs to Perform Seasonal Favorites at Annual Holiday Concert

HIGH POINT, N.C., Nov. 20, 2015 – ‘Tis the season for sharing great music, and High Point University will do just that at the annual Holiday Choral Concert. The event will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 4 and Dec. 5 in the Hayworth Fine Arts Center, Pauline Theatre. It is open to the public.

The concert will feature performances by the university’s choral ensembles – University Singers, Chapel Choir, Women’s Chorus and Chamber Singers – as they present an evening of delightful holiday choral selections directed by Dr. Marc Foster, chair of the Department of Music and director of choral activities. Songs will range from standards such as “Jingle Bells,” “White Christmas” and “Baby It’s Cold Outside” to more traditional arrangements of songs like “Silent Night,” “Patapan” and “Carol of the Bells.”

“Our Holiday Choral Concerts have become a holiday tradition for many in our High Point community, and we hope to fill Hayworth Fine Arts Center for both performances,” Foster says. “The evening will be an exciting presentation, sure to get you in the holiday spirit!”

A limited number of complimentary tickets are available for the general public by contacting 336-841-9209 or reservations@highpoint.edu.
