HIGH POINT, N.C., Nov. 18, 2015 – High Point University students took time to document their blessings during “The Gratitude Project,” a way for them to reflect on what they are thankful for this Thanksgiving season.
Now in its fifth year, students organized and hosted “The Gratitude Project” on campus as an opportunity to share their appreciation for what they have.
Students said they were thankful for “the men and women who serve our country,” “the opportunities HPU has given me,” “a mother who is also the most amazing role model,” “my chance to come back to school,” “organic chemistry because it gave us lifelong friendships,” “interfaith cooperation” and “innovation.”
“I love this project,” said HPU senior Jennifer Swiger. “I’ve done it since freshman year, and I think it’s wonderful for this time of year for us to take a step back and re-evaluate what we should be grateful for in our lives, especially with everything that’s going on right now in the world.”
