Business Fraternity Hosts Christmas Party for Boys and Girls Club

HIGH POINT, N.C., Dec. 11, 2015 – High Point University’s Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity hosted a Christmas party for more than 100 children in the Boys and Girls Club at West End Ministries on Dec. 8.

“A lot of these children are not given the best Christmas,” said Byron Murrain, director of the Boys and Girls Club. “Being able to be a part of this brings so much joy and light to their lives during the holiday season. They are ecstatic to be here.”

The children enjoyed food, games, music, gifts, crafts, food and even a visit by HPU’s Prowler the Panther at the Christmas party on Dec. 8 at West End Ministries.

“It feels so amazing to be able to plan this party and put it together for these children,” said Mikayla Dent, Alpha Kappa Psi member. “When those kids walked through that door and I saw their faces light up, it made it all so worth it. We have a lot of positive feedback from this event and all of the Alpha Kappa Psi members love being a part of it.”
