HIGH POINT, N.C., June 14, 2016 – Cornerstone Health Care Foundation is hosting the “High Point Gives Life” Blood Drive at the High Point University Community Center on June 28 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Schedule an appointment for the June 28 event at www.redcrossblood.org and enter the sponsor keyword “High Point Gives Life.” Walk-ins are welcome.
“Cornerstone Health Care Foundation is pleased to sponsor this blood drive at a time when the need is monumental,” said Jim White, coordinator for Cornerstone. “It is exciting that our collaborators have stepped up for this cause to offer their support.”
In conjunction with the American Red Cross, United Way of Greater High Point, High Point Police Department, Krispy Kreme, Subway and Freddy’s Steakburgers, the organizations hope to have more than 160 people donate blood at this year’s drive.
“Donating one pint of blood can help save up to three lives,” said Ricky Delk, account manager for American Red Cross. “Many lives are saved every year from generous people who donate.”
This is the eighth blood drive that the organization has hosted. Last year’s Dr. Jim Ericco Memorial Blood Drive produced more than 60 pints of donated blood.
