HPU Announces New Hires


HIGH POINT, N.C., May 2, 2017 – High Point University welcomed four new staff members during the month of April. They are as follows:

Michael CasaSanta


Michael CasaSanta joined the Student Success program as a student success coach. This is a newly created position. He provides academic and transitional support to freshmen majoring in business by advising students concerning course selection, campus involvement and other opportunities. CasaSanta has experience working in college career services, enrollment, Greek life and alumni affairs. He has also worked as a district executive for the Boy Scouts of America. He holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and electronic media and a Master of Business Administration.


Sabrina Bridges


Sabrina Bridges joined the Office of Information Technology in the computing training services division as a training specialist. She plans and facilitates technology training for students, faculty and staff to help them utilize the programs and software the university offers. Her professional experience includes 12 years in the corporate training and development field serving as a training coach, learning specialist, and quality and training specialist. Bridges holds a bachelor’s degree in applied science with a concentration in mass communication and a master’s degree in adult education with a concentration in instructional design.



Jim Bowman



Jim Bowman joined Facility Operations as facility operations coordinator. This is a newly created position. Bowman is responsible for the operation of the HPU Community Event center and other special facilities-related projects. He has more than 30 years of experience in facility operations and holds associate degrees in business administration and landscape gardening.


Pamela Maffett



Pamela Maffett joined the Office of Institutional Advancement as coordinator of alumni engagement and events. She organizes class and affinity reunions, regional programming efforts for the HPU family, Alumni Weekend and Alumni Leadership Weekend activities. Maffett has professional experience in non-profit and university fundraising. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in communication with a double minor in journalism and entrepreneurship.
