HIGH POINT, N.C., April 23, 2019 – High Point University’s School of Art and Design will host its second annual Portfolio Exhibit and Review on May 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the HPU Community Center.
The community is encouraged to come to this year’s event to meet HPU’s 2019 graphic design graduates and view their portfolios of work they have created during the academic year. There will also be exhibits on display from HPU’s graduating interior design, visual merchandising design and art students, including 76 posters and 15 pieces of ceramic art.
This provides an opportunity for graduating students to network with professionals and receive feedback on their work.
“The extent of the display will demonstrate the creative, thoughtful work that our students produce in their senior year,” says Dr. John Turpin, dean of HPU’s School of Art and Design. “Projects will include design solutions for co-housing communities, retail spaces, book covers and graphic packages. Our students look forward to sharing their work with all who attend.”
HPU student Hannah DeBord helped design the poster for the event and is looking forward to networking with professionals during the exhibit.
“I am thankful for the opportunity to design the advertising for this event,” says DeBord. “Seeing my work transformed from the screen to professionally printed and used for an event is amazing.”
