HIGH POINT, N.C., Dec. 24, 2019 – High Point University started a new tradition with the surrounding community this year with its Christmas Drive event that attracted nearly 10,000 visitors.

For six nights, guests were invited to drive through campus to enjoy views of the more than 100,000 Christmas lights, a candy cane DNA structure in Congdon Hall, a life-size Nativity scene, 138 nutcrackers and soldiers and other holiday decorations.

“We wanted to extend another invitation for our community to come and enjoy the beauty of HPU’s campus with their families,” said HPU President Nido Qubein. “Christmas is a very special time at High Point’s University.”

Earlier in the month, HPU welcomed more than 15,000 visitors to its ninth annual Community Christmas Celebration. Throughout the months of November and December, the HPU family gave back to the community in many ways.
