HPU Announces New Hires in November

HPU Staff

HIGH POINT, N.C., Dec. 3, 2020 – High Point University welcomed four new hires in the month of November. They are as follows:

Kate Berry joined the Office of Institutional Advancement as a senior advancement officer.

In this role, she partners with parents, alumni and community members to engage them with the university and facilitate philanthropic investments to strengthen HPU’s educational mission. Prior to HPU, she worked in development at other higher education institutions and in the nonprofit sector. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Spanish and has lived and worked abroad in Spain and Mexico.

 

Kailey Cox joined the Office of Student Success as a student success coach.

In this role, Cox is responsible for providing appropriate academic and transitional support to first-year students with their transition to college life by serving as an academic advisor, life coach, university liaison and activities coordinator. Prior to HPU, she worked as an academic advisor in higher education and worked as a tutor and student instructor at HPU. She is a 2018 HPU graduate with dual degrees in in exercise science and biology. She earned her Master of Public Health and is a Certified Health Education Specialist.

 

Hayden Raynor joined the Office of Student Affairs as a resident director.

In this role, Raynor oversees Centennial Square and housing staff in the residential community. Prior to HPU, Raynor worked various resident roles in higher education and served as director of the youth theatre camps for the Benson Foundation for the Arts in North Carolina. He received a bachelor’s degree in nutritional science and dietetics and a master’s degree in educational leadership with a focus in college student development.

 

Christopher Coleman joined HPU’s Facility Operations Department as the university mail center’s assistant manager.

In this role, he will provide superior management of incoming and outgoing mail, including packages and shipments to and from campus for students. Coleman worked more than 25 years in shipping and deliveries by working in roles that included bulk shipment, same-day deliveries, heavy and air freight and more.
