HPU Director Of Security And Transportation Wins Car From United Way
High Point University's Jeff Karpovich has a new set of wheels ? he is the winner of the United Way of Greater High Point?s annual car giveaway. The prize is fitting, considering that Karpovich serves as the director of security and transportation at HPU. Karpovich, who said the experience of winning the car was surreal, was one of 10 finalists drawn from the United Way?s 3,300 fair share donors. 
Head Of Security And Transportation Receives Honor

Jeff Karpovich, CPP, security chief and transportation director at High Point University, recently received an award recognizing the safety initiatives that have been put in place at High Point University during the past three years. The North Carolina Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators selected Karpovich for their 2011 Commitment to Excellence Award.

HPU Director of Security and Transportation Referees Charity Ice Hockey Game
Jeff Karpovich, CPP chief of security and director of transportation at High Point University, recently took to the ice for a good cause - he refereed a charity ice hockey game at the Greensboro Ice House on Feb. 21. The event, called the "Police Charity Ice Hockey Game," was held to raise funds for the Sgt. Mickey Hutchens Memorial Scholarship Fund. Hutchens was killed on duty in October 2009.
