|Dr. Jerry Fox, Associate Professor of Economics, utilizes state-of-the-art econometric analysis to do comprehensive macroeconomic forecasting, time-series analysis, and economic impact studies, often on local and regional markets such as the High Point area furniture industry. He has even studied the economic impact of High Point University on North Carolina. Dr. Fox’s papers have been published in the:

• Economic Research Network Educator
• Journal of Macroeconomics
Dr. Fox is currently working on a book on the American political macroeconomy. He has presented his works frequently at the Academy of Economics and Finance Association, the Midwest Political Science Association, and the Midwest Economics Association. Additionally, he is proficient in Japanese and travels there bi-annually for research and further language training. He is a frequent guest on local TV news affiliates applying economic principles and his knowledge to current events in the world of economics.
Dr. Fox joined HPU in 1993 and has taught in both the undergraduate and MBA programs including courses in macroeconomics, microeconomics, managerial economics, and international economics.
He has served on the Graduate Admissions Committee, Graduate Council, Survey Research Center Advisory Committee, and International Studies Committee at HPU and currently serves on the Earl N. Phillips School of Business Assurance of Learning Evaluation Committee.
Dr. Fox earned his Ph.D. in Economics (fields of International Economics and Econometrics) at the University of Utah and his B.S. in Economics at Brigham Young University.
