High Point University recently received a generous gift from High Point Bank and Trust Company. The gift - $10,000 for unrestricted purposes - will be used as deemed necessary by HPU, explains Dr. Donald Scarborough, vice president for institutional advancement at HPU.
High Point University professors Dr. James Stitt and Dr. Stephanie Crofton recently participated in the 33rd Annual Conference of the Economic and Business Historical Society (EBHS) in Montgomery, Ala., held April 17-19.
The Information Technology Department at High Point University recently welcomed Jamal Totten to the staff as a Web designer for the university Web sites. By updating, supporting and administering existing university Web pages, he hopes to make the sites more user-friendly and navigable. He also plans to create new Web sites for special events, introduce more dynamic, rich-media applications and help to promote the message of HPU.
