Tickets

Onward with Faithful Courage

Complimentary tickets are required for this event, and must be picked up in advance. Each undergraduate candidate for graduation is permitted a maximum of three guest tickets (the graduate will be required to show their Passport Card for entry).

Tickets are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tickets may be picked up on the Slane Student Center track on April 30 from 8:30am-7:00pm. From May 1 to May 7, tickets may be picked up during normal office hours (8:30am-5:00pm Monday-Friday and 10:00am-2:00pm Saturday) at the Slane Student Center Concierge Desk.

August and December 2019 candidates for graduation who are not able to pick up tickets at the designated locations are asked to contact the Campus Concierge at (336) 841-4636.

Baccalaureate

Baccalaureate is for High Point University undergraduate candidates for graduation, their families and guests, and university faculty, staff, students and special guests. It is not open to the general public.

Graduation Ceremony

Tickets are not required for the Graduation Ceremony, unless there is inclement weather (see rain plan).

The Graduation Ceremony is for High Point University candidates for graduation, their families and guests, and university faculty, staff, students and special guests. It is not open to the general public.

In the event of inclement weather:

  • The Graduation Ceremony will be split into two ceremonies that will be held in the James H. and Jesse E. Millis Athletic Convocation Center. Ceremony 1 will honor our Doctoral, Graduate, and BA candidates and will begin at 8:30am. Graduating Students should arrive by 7:45 a.m. Ceremony 2 will honor our BS and BSBA candidates and will begin at 11:30am. Graduating Students should arrive by 10:45 a.m. Due to space limitations in the Millis Center, each candidate for graduation is permitted a maximum of two rain guest tickets. The graduate will be required to show their Passport Card for entry. Graduates should enter the front doors on the left side of the Millis Center near the concessions stand, and be prepared to show their passport card for entry.  Guests should enter the main doors in the front/center of the building. Rain tickets may be picked up on the Slane Student Center track on April 30 from 8:30am-7:00pm. From May 1 to May 7, tickets may be picked up during normal office hours (8:30am-5:00pm Monday-Friday and 10:00am-2:00pm Saturday) at the Slane Student Center Concierge Desk.
  • In the event of rain, the Graduation Ceremony will also be broadcast via closed-circuit television at the Hayworth Fine Arts Center, the Wanek Center Extraordinaire Cinema, Phillips Hall Francis Auditorium, and Congdon Hall, Callicutt Auditorium.
