Sarah Belle Tate – Campaign Analysis. This paper merges rhetoric and advertising to analyze Apple’s iPod campaign.
Sam Kizer – Digital Autobiographical Soundtrack. This soundtrack of African-American music, with accompanying liner notes and artwork, provides a glimpse of Sam’s converging identities.
Tiffany Francois – Research Paper. This paper critiques the shifting values, identities, and ideologies of the opposing representations of Black women—the sexualized object and the Mammy—during slavery as well as the Blaxploitation film era.
Ashlee Branch – Digital Portfolio. This digital portfolio contains popular culture artifacts with accompanying analyses of the gender binary and performance within the binary.
Ashlee Branch – Response Paper. This response paper on gendered violence applies the concepts of gender performance and reception to HPU’s Theatre Department’s production of the docuplay The Laramie Project.
