Dr. Biaett brings 30+ years of festival and event management experience into the classroom. His primary research interest is the behavior of attendees at community festivals, a subject he has incorporated into his unique Rhetoric of Festivals & Events course focused on experience design. He believes in experiential projects and has involved students with the Miss High Point Pageant, the Lexington Barbeque Festival, the Greater High Point Food Alliance, the High Point Arts Council, and the John Coltrane International Jazz & Blues Festival. He has also escorted students to professional event conference in Charlotte, Philadelphia, and San Diego.
One of Dr. Biaett’s career highlights – being on the field and helping to produce the Diana Ross half-time show at the 1996 Super Bowl.
