Dr. Fowke' Blog from England

I am delighted that the Nido Qubein School of Communications will feature state of the art facilities. But I also believe that our state of the art attitude will distinguish us. It is not enough to merely communicate well or to be skilled in manipulating media technology. Students must also think critically and possess an understanding of the moral, ethical and political ramifications of communications in a variety of contexts. Our emphasis on a value-based liberal arts education combined with practical and technical skills will produce the kind of well-rounded and versatile graduates that are increasingly necessary in a world of international and convergent communications technology.

Kate Fowkes
Professor, The Nido Qubein School of Communication, teaches a variety of film and television courses. Read about Dr. Fowkes in "In the Spotlight..."

Dr. Gaspeny's Blog

"The surest way to judge a communications program is by the achievements of its graduates. Ours include a reporter for the Wall Street Journal who covered business decisions by the Supreme Court, the managing editor of the fastest-growing daily newspaper in America, and the policy specialist for a U.S. Congresswoman. We have many other success stories, and they will only multiply when the doors of Qubein School of Communications open."

Michael Gaspeny
Assistant Professor, The Nido Qubein School of Communication, teaches Journalism and is faculty advisor for The Campus Chronicle. The American Scholastic Press Association has selected The Campus Chronicle annually since 1995 as one of the Top 20 campus newspapers in the nation.

Clear communication conveys meaning through instruction, information, and inspiration."

Dr. Tremblay's Blog

"There's no better place to study communication than a liberal arts university. Our educational model allows students to explore their unique interests unrestricted by a rigid series of courses. And our small class sizes really lets students express themselves and grow as individuals."
