Greeting from the Director of the Nido Qubein School of Communication.

Thanks for taking the time to check out our website.

I can't tell you what an exciting time this will be to begin your study of Communication at HPU. We're going to have a new building ready to go by Fall of 08 with all the latest all digital equipment and facilities--television studios and video editing suites, a multi-track audio recording studio, radio station and an incredible game and interactive communication design center. And because you'll be starting at the same time with new facilities and new faculty, you'll have a lot of input into our future direction.

We believe that students learn best when you can apply what you learn in the classroom to real-world situations. Simply put, our faculty believes that the more you practice, the more you learn. That's why our program starts during the freshman year and why our majors will have access to our equipment and facilities from the day you register.

As to our faculty, you can't work at the Nido Qubein School of Communication unless you're a proven student-focused faculty member. We expect our faculty to interact closely with students on projects and assignments and to be readily available when students come by-just try to keep those late night phone calls to a minimum!

I've been teaching in universities for 27 years and have seen hundreds of communication programs. But I've never seen the enthusiasm and energy that's evident on the HPU campus the first time you set foot on the campus. We're really "blowin' up."

I'll be delighted to talk to you individually about our program. Just send an email at wtremblay@highpoint.edu or give me a call at 336-841-9113.
