"I love our communications program. What really makes the communications program work is the dedication
of the professors. When my professor is passionate about a subject, it's much easier to learn from them and
to get excited about it too. In addition to the professors, academically the communications program has a
good balance between lecture classes and studio classes. To prepare for post-graduation, the jobs that
communications majors look for usually have a studio/technology component to them. I think that the new
School of Communications will be an added bonus and provide a fantastic and more comprehensive learning
environment with up-to-date technology and studio equipment."

"After two years as a communications major, I have grown in ways I wouldn't have otherwise. I now understand
what good communication is - effort. It isn't speaking the first thing that comes to your mind, and it doesn't come
naturally. I have come to understand the critical impact communication has on everyone's life. If you can't communicate
your ideas and your value, you'll never get anywhere".

"I enjoyed being in the audio production and journalism classes. In the audio production class I was impressed with
the technology we have in allowing students to produce and edit sound bites for interviews, music, and radio shows.
The journalism class taught me how to conduct an interview and to write newspaper, magazine, or internet articles."

"Our job is to allow listeners to see the volleyball game without seeing it. We paint a picture of the physical setting
such as the gym, uniforms, the crowd, the play sequence based on our observations of watching the Panthers play. It's fabulous
experience for my dream job at ESPN; if I could announce a Detroit Tiger's game, I would die a happy man."

"I absolutely love calling the games. Kevin and I have a lot of fun on the air. My favorite part is when the teams go on a
long, exciting rally and Kevin and I get on a roll. I take pride in what we're doing and feel it's a start in the business.
Broadcasting the games has helped me to get some more connection in the sports information field. I would really like to get
into broadcasting or sports media at the college or professional level."
