Faculty Cultural Enrichment Grant: Phoenix Reading Series: Scholar Ali Schulthesis-Moore

Please join us as Dr. Alexandra Moore discusses human rights in literary and visual culture. Moore is a Distinguished Scholar and associate professor in the Department of English, University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she teaches classes in postcolonial studies and human rights and the humanities. Her recent publications include essays and book chapters as well as a monograph, Vulnerability and Security in Human Rights Literature and Visual Culture (2015), and four co-edited collections: The Routledge Companion to Literature and Human Rights (2015), Globally Networked Teaching in the Humanities (2015), Teaching Human Rights in Literature and Cultural Studies (2015), and Theoretical Perspectives on Human Rights and Literature (2012). She has received numerous awards and grants for pedagogical innovation, including two support globally-linked classes in human rights and literature with partner classes at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and the American University Beirut.
