The Sierra Duo (John Haines-Eitzen, cello, and Matthew Bengtson, piano) formed in 2015 through a multi-year recording project for Albany Records to record all of composer Roberto Sierra’s works for cello and piano. The Kaleidoscope concert is one of the most popular instrumental concerts every year,” says Dr. Danny Frye, director of instrumental studies. “With a menagerie of ensembles positioned in different locations in the auditorium performing a broad spectrum of music, it’s a non-stop musical experience.
