Voyager Golden Record 40th Anniversary Concert

The Department of Music celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Voyager spacecraft's Golden Record with performances of selections from the disc. In 1977 the Voyager spacecraft launched carrying a gold-plated phonograph record with images and sounds that portray the diversity of life and culture on earth.  The concert features music by Bach, Beethoven, Stravinsky, Chuck Berry, Louis Armstrong,  Blind Willie Johnson, and folk music from around the world. Argentinean artist Fernanda Piamonti has been awarded many national and international awards during her career.
