Elizabeth Bradfield is a writer and naturalist. She is the author of the poetry collections Once Removed, Approaching Ice, Interpretive Work and the forthcoming mixed-genre Toward Antarctica. Her poems and essays have appeared in The New Yorker, West Branch, Poetry, The Atlantic Monthly, Orion and elsewhere. For the past twenty years, she has worked as a naturalist and guide on ships both at home and in some of the globe’s most remote places. Copenhagen Play Reading

Join us for a reading of the play Copenhagen by Michael Frayn, directed by HPU student Emmie D’Amico. Scientists Heisenberg, Bohr, and Bohr's wife meet after their deaths to debate the motivations and outcomes of their attendance to a 1941 meeting in Copenhagen to discuss nuclear power. For guests interested in experiential learning, from 5:30-6:30 pm, the HPU Mobile Lab will be parked outside the Wanek School of Natural Sciences and will welcome visitors with activities that highlight the science concepts…
