Spring Dance Concert

Our annual Spring Dance Concert will share and showcase the talents of students, including works choreographed by Lindsey Howie, HPU instructor of dance; adjunct professor Christine Stevens; student choreographers Maddie Casadonte, Nicole Drinkwater and Amanda Rossi.  Each piece will vary in style and theme, and will be performed by students of High Point University. The students are not only involved in performing, but are the stage managers for the concert, and are also involved in the design process for lighting the dance pieces and…

Piano Recital: Yi-Yang Chen

Taiwanese pianist Yi-Yang Chen, 22, has been training on piano since age 8. He was admitted as a graduate student to Robert McDonald and Jerome Lowenthal at The Juilliard School in 2012 and obtained his Master of Music in piano performance in 2014. Chen is currently a doctoral student in piano performance at Eastman School of Music, where he also received a Bachelor of Music while studying under Douglas Humpherys.
