Community Orchestra Concert

The High Point University Community Orchestra will perform it’s fall concert on Monday, November 25th at 7:30pm in HPU’s Hayworth Fine Arts Center.  Featured on the program is the seven-movement orchestral suite, The Planets, composed by Gustav Holst.  Each movement represents all of the known planets the solar system seen from Earth at the time (1916), and their corresponding astrological character.  In addition, HPU Visiting Assistant Professor of Piano, Dr. Wei Jiao, will perform one of the most famous of…

Choral Concert

Our annual Holiday Choral Concert has become one of the community’s most popular holiday events, and this year will be the most exciting to date! Lessons and Carols

This special candlelight service is the final Chapel service of the fall semester, bringing the community together to remember and retell the Christmas story. The service will feature members of the university community reading scripture and music led by the Chapel Choir. The service is based on the traditional Festival of Lessons and Carols from King’s College, Cambridge, England. No tickets required. Open to the public.
