Here are some highlights from our 2016 Event:
You’ve heard Dr. Nido Qubein say many times that High Point University is a God, family and country school. Today, he shared that message again with 1,100 veterans, their family members, students, faculty, staff and community volunteers at HPU’s Annual Veterans Day Celebration.
The celebration honored veterans and their families with a complimentary breakfast and impressive speakers such as Celia Sandys, Winston Churchill’s granddaughter, and MG Kevin G. O’Connell, former Commanding General in the U.S. Army and a 1982 alumnus. HPU also donated more than 100 American flags today to public schools, government buildings and parks and recreation centers in the city of High Point.
This special event reflects the values-based education HPU seeks to instill in our students every day.
We extend a sincere thank you to all veterans and their families. We also proudly fly dozens of American flags on our campus and cherish the principles on which our nation was founded.
