The well-being of High Point University students is extremely important to us. Triage services are available Monday-Friday from 8:30-4:45 pm during which time a student can walk in and be seen by a counselor for a brief encounter to determine if there is a need for a higher level of care or to recommend further services. There is a counselor on-call for mental health emergencies after hours and on weekends.
During business hours
If you are experiencing a mental health emergency or crisis Monday through Friday between 8:30am and 5:00pm, you may come to the Office of Counseling Services on the 3rd floor of Slane and we will arrange for you to speak with the Triage counselor.
After business hours
After hours and on weekends, we encourage you to contact Campus Safety at (336) 841-9111 or call 911 if you are experiencing a mental health emergency. The staff counselor on-call will be contacted by Campus Safety.
