Disability Support Housing Accommodations

TO REQUEST HOUSING ACCOMMODATIONS

Special housing requests for students with disabilities are made through the Office of Disability Support. Each situation is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. AD/HD is seldom considered for housing accommodations. North Campus housing is a part of the High Point University’s overall residential community, thus accommodations to exclude those options are generally reserved for students with medical/physical disabilities.

To Request Housing Accommodations:

  1. Complete and return Disability Support HPU Housing Request form
  2. Submit  completed, signed Medical Documentation form
  3. ADA Housing Committee reviews requests based on disability and documentation
  4. Approved requests for ADA housing accommodations are sent to the Office of Campus Life for specific room assignments.

Service dogs required because of a disability are welcome on High Point University campus and expected to be under the handler’s control.

*Requests for therapeutic or companion animals should be made through the Housing Accommodations process.
