Disability Support Housing Accommodations
TO REQUEST HOUSING ACCOMMODATIONS
Special housing requests for students with disabilities are made through the Office of Disability Support. Each situation is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. AD/HD is seldom considered for housing accommodations. North Campus housing is a part of the High Point University’s overall residential community, thus accommodations to exclude those options are generally reserved for students with medical/physical disabilities.
To Request Housing Accommodations:
- Complete and return Disability Support HPU Housing Request form
- Submit completed, signed Medical Documentation form
- ADA Housing Committee reviews requests based on disability and documentation
- Approved requests for ADA housing accommodations are sent to the Office of Campus Life for specific room assignments.
Service dogs required because of a disability are welcome on High Point University campus and expected to be under the handler’s control.
*Requests for therapeutic or companion animals should be made through the Housing Accommodations process.
