STEM Club Takes Science to Community Schools

Students in Integrated Principles of Math and Science developed an after school STEM club for elementary students in area schools. The STEM club is designed to provide students in grades K-5 with experiential learning in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math through the use of LEGO “WE Do” programs, AIMS activities, and Geoscience Probes. The club met at the schools for one hour a week and HPU students led activities to engage elementary students in science and math concepts.
