Wilson Dickinson is a philosophical theologian, preacher, teacher, and writer who is struggling to live sustainably and faithfully in Central Kentucky. He holds a PhD from Syracuse University and an MDiv from Vanderbilt Divinity School. For the previous six years he at Transylvania University, were he served as Associate Dean for Religious Life and taught in the Religion, Philosophy, and Environmental Studies programs, and has been teaching at Lexington Theological Seminary this fall. He is an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

Oct 6, 2016: (Seminar) “The Billion Dollar Problem of Aquatic Invasive Species”
Dr. Sandra Cooke, Assistant Professor of Environmental Science will be discussing her research on invasive aquatic species. Topics will include Asian carp, the tropical water flea Daphnia lumholtzi, and the freshwater jellyfish Craspedacusta sowerbyi. Economic and biological aspects of species invasions will be addressed, as well as strategies for control and mitigation.
