A Four-Week Summer Immersion English-as-a-Second-Language (ESL) Program at High Point University
June 30 - July 25, 2008
This is an outstanding opportunity for international students with a basic knowledge of English to vastly improve their English
language skills before entering college.
Participants will live on the beautiful campus of High Point University where they will mingle with American students and take two
classes each day! One class will focus on the grammatical aspects of English; the other on the different cultures that make the United States
so unique. Participants will receive valuable lessons on living as a student in the US. They will explore some of the musical styles that
are typically American and will take trips to explore some of the regions around High Point University.
Upon arrival in the Triad, a representative from the university will pick up participants from the Piedmont Triad International Airport (PTI)
and help get them settled into their rooms on campus.
To ensure maximum results and individual attention to participants, this program is limited to 12 to 15 students.
Cost: $2,500 (includes tuition, fees, room and board)
This program is open to students who have been accepted at an American University.
