Dear High Point University Families,
The safety and security of our students and the entire HPU family is our number one concern.
We continue to monitor the progress of Hurricane Joaquin, which is forecasted to bring 4-6 inches of rain and modest wind gusts on campus throughout the weekend.
Our teams are prepared for the potential low-lying floods and possible power outages that could occur as a result of heavy periods of rain and wind. Know that we will continue to monitor conditions and increase our 24-hour presence of security and student life personnel.
While we welcome families this weekend, we ask that you review forecasts in your area as you finalize your travel plans to and from HPU’s campus and take the proper precautions. The weather has caused us to cancel several events listed below.
