Summer Research Poster Showcase

Students spent the summer delving into questions about extreme athletics, reading and sports injury interventions with kids, and diabetes, gothic literature, and the death penalty. Others designed a computer app for lemurs, scoured the FBI database, and observed elephants and wild cats at the NC Zoo.  They will showcase their work at this family Weekend event.

Charcoal Pony Improv Show*

HPU's student improve group will perform a comedy show that is completely improvised on the spot. The members will act out scenes and games based on audience suggestions. Come prepared to laugh until it hurts. *HPU Family Weekend Badge and/or a student Passport is required for access to this event.  Guests with badges and/or student Passports will be welcomed 60 minutes before start time.

5K Family Fun Run

Family Weekend Service Project

The Parents Council will host its semi-annual service project in Slane Student Center. The project, a partnership with “Feeding Children Everywhere”, will involve packaging 20,000 to 40,000 meals for local agencies to distribute to families living with food insecurity in the High Point area. The event is university-wide and designed to engage the entire family.  There will be two sessions.  The first session will be from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30  p.m. and the other from 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
