The Tropical Garden at Maynard Pool

Location: At Maynard pool next to the Slane Student Center

Featured plants:  Hardy palms and bananas, ginger lilies, summer wisteria
Garden Map with Plant List

When it blooms: Late spring through late fall

More history: This garden has the unique feature of having a microclimate which lessens the impact of winter, allowing for the survival of plants which would otherwise not make it through our winters. Featuring a blend of hardy and seasonal plants with a tropical appearance, this garden is a taste of the tropics right here in High Point.
