5/17/2013:As many people know the great show “The Office” just had its final episode last night, and because I am a HUGE fan I thought today in this blog post I will honor the “The Office” by telling you a little about my office here!
Our little office is just that – little! There are four of us working in this space so there is a lot going on. Especially when the bell rings for classes to change and students come in asking about a grade or a retake for some test. I thought all this commotion would make this a disorganized work space but there is an actual grace to how it all flows together.
In the hustle and bussel of the BMA school day Mr. Till, who is a brilliant teacher, always seems to, in his words, “misplace” important papers. It has been my big undertaking to focus on his organizational needs. The other two teachers Mr. Lobel and Mr. Loy tease him and say I should be his personal assistant, because his organizational needs are that extensive.
So although this office is small, it works. There is constant communication with one another which creates an open and welcoming work environment. We crack jokes, talk about upcoming events, drink coffee, plan classes and even talk about our triumphs and failures.
So I look forward to the craziness when the bell rings, there is always something to be done!
