Do I Need Virus Protection on My Mac?

Macs that are running the¬†most recent version of OS X -¬†OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion¬†includes the GateKeeper function that by default prevents Mac users from installing anything other than Apple-approved software. It is entirely up to you. Both offer student discounts and are supported on campus.

Can I Borrow an iPad?

Yes, the IT department has iPads that students can rent out for a one week period at a time. To borrow an iPad just stop by the IT department and pick up your iPad rental.

My Computer has a Virus

If your computer has a virus then please bring it by the IT department so we can remove it. We run our virus removal tools and make sure that we remove all of the infections from your computer. Is Your Computer Broken?

We support the personal computers of all current High Point University students living on campus. Students can bring their computers to the IT Help Desk. We will trouble shoot, identify the possible causes of the problem and work with you find the best solution for resolving the issue. Our technicians are certified PC and Apple technicians that can support warranty work, antivirus issues, and hardware problems; among many other issues.
