A how-to session on finding and using the 23,000 streaming films in the library’s film collection. Would the addition of streaming films benefit your students? What have other professors done? Learn about Films on Demand, access to Kanopy, and the use of popular movies on the Swank platform. Docuseek2, Media Education Foundation and others will be demonstrated as well.
Jing & Other Screencasting Tools
February 3 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm OR February 4 @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
“Jing & Other Free/Cheap Screencasting Tools” with Amy Chadwell – Wednesday, February 3 at Noon OR Thursday, February 4 at 2 PM (Smith Library Media Lab) Have you wanted to use screen casting in your work? With screen-casting, you can record activity on your computer screen and include audio as well. Would you like to share these recordings with your students or peers? You can easily make simple tutorial videos and images to enhance your course materials and “show” instead of “tell” the information you need to get across. Using Jing, Screen-cast-o-matic, and other software, attendees will learn how to capture video & audio of their screen and share those recordings with others.
Stay tuned for more!
Please register by the Monday before each session by emailing email@example.com.
