How do I access My Library Account?
How do I change my password?
A: If you have forgotten your user name or password for your HPU account, or you need to change your HPU password or any information for your Library account, follow this link. Remember, your library password does not automatically change when you update your university password.
How long can I keep my book, DVD, etc?
A: You can borrow as many books as you want for 28 days and then can renew for another 28 days. New fiction checkout for 14 days. DVDs are a three day checkout with a limit of 3 at a time. You can see our loan periods by patron and item type here.
Where are the color printers?
A: Use the FollowMePrint and make certain to send as a color print. Color printers are located in Smith Library on the main floor in front of the circulation desk, on the lower floor near the Group Lab, and in the Wanek Learning Commons. For larger jobs, contact Media Services for special color printing on photo paper or in large format.
Where can I make a copy, print or scan a document?
A: You are able to make copies, print and scan items at Smith Library on the 1st and 2nd floors and at the Wanek Center Learning Commons as well as other locations on campus. Wand your passport and then follow the prompts on the printer. (We are around if you need help!)

How do I find an item on Course Reserves?
A: To find items that your professor has placed on reserve for your course, click on Course Reserves in the left-hand menu under “Quick Links.” Enter your professor’s name or course number (such as ENG 2200). Click on the course number for your specific course and all the items on reserve will be listed. If the item is on electronic reserve, you should be able to click the link there to access it. All physical reserves are kept behind the circulation desk in Smith Library. Reserves must only be used in the library and typically have a 4-hour checkout period.

A: You may drop off small donations (5 or fewer items that will not require attribution) at the Smith Library Circulation or Reference desk. For large donations, see our Donations Policy.
