Academic OneFile (Gale) — This article database provides access to thousands magazines, newspapers, and scholarly, peer-reviewed journals in a wide range of subjects.

Academic Search Complete (EBSCO) — This multidisciplinary database provides access to thousands of popular magazines and newspapers as well as scholarly, peer-reviewed journals.

EBSCO E-Books — Our largest collection of e-books with more than 160,000 titles in a broad range of disciplines. Many are available to check out and download.

Films for the Humanities (FFH), Films on Demand — The leading provider of media for higher education. Creates and distributes world-class academic content.

Google Scholar (HPU-specific link) — A free web search engine from Google that indexes a wide variety of scholarly literature. Can be very helpful when used with the library’s resources.

JSTOR — Provides access to historical coverage of scholarly journals in a wide range of disciplines. Coverage does not include the most recent issues (usually the last 3-5 years).

Lexis Nexis Academic — This database provides access to local, regional, national, and international newspapers, as well as legal cases, law reviews, and company information.

ProQuest Research Library — This multidisciplinary article database provides access to a diversified mix of scholarly journals, trade publications, magazines, and newspapers.

Pub Med (HPU-specific link) — Comprises more than 19 million citations for biomedical articles from MEDLINE and life science journals.

Science Direct — Provides full-text access to thousands of core titles in the natural and social sciences.

WorldCat Local — The online catalog, index, and database that allows you to search for books, e-books, DVDs, music, and articles available through HPU Libraries.
